I just finished watching the made for VH1 TLC biopic Crazy Sexy Cool: The TLC Story. If you have not seen it, please check your local listings (an encore was shown after it ended) and I am sure there will be re-runs for those that missed it twice! As a child growing up in the 90's, I loved TLC and even then I always admired Lisa's rap style. It was bittersweet to watch the heartbreaks behind the music I grew up listening to, but it is a sound that proved legendary and empowered many young girls and women all over the world.
I hope Chilli and T-Boz would continue to do great things knowing Left Eye is watching and I bet cheering them on in spirit. I would love to see Chilli and T-Boz in concert someday. . Towards the end, I left the room really quick, came back and saw Neyo, Chilli and T-Boz together in a studio. When I saw Neyo I already knew what was going on, and what was going was a beautiful song co-penned by Neyo called Meant to Be. I nearly teared up hearing it for the first time at the end of the movie. The song can be found on TLC's 20 Album. Please give the song a listen below and continue to support TLC. May Lisa's soul continue to rest peacefully ♥
